A Mission Church of The Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast.
The Mission of Saint Mary's by the Sea Episcopal Church is to be a beacon
of God's light and love for all people. We seek to grow in the knowledge and
love of God and to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through worship,
prayer, study, fellowship, and ministry.
The Rev. David Powers has been called to Christ the Redeemer Episcopal Church as the

In brief, you should know the following about us: Our church was established in 1965 in its present location and had been responsible for providing great spiritual worship to the Lord as well as fellowship in the community ever since. Sadly our original church from 1965 was lost in Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Construction of the new church pictured above began in 2008 and was completed in 2009 just in time for Easter Sunday Service.
Our mission is to welcome everyone to our Sunday Church Services and adult & children's Sunday School. Our congregation members particularly value our friendly and family atmosphere to all.
The remains of the original church of 1965 after flood damage from Hurricane Katrina.
The beautiful stained glass windows were removed and stored for future use.
The windows were memorials and are now displayed in the new Parish Hall interior.
Sadly, the building was condemned and leveled in 2008 with new building construction.
